Today’s the day, it’s time to meet the Champ!

The PAX Pokemon League is proud to present:

Brandon, the Dark Dragon Tamer!

Trainer’s Eye: Brandon began his journey looking up to Lance and studying how Lance learned to control powerful Dragon Pokemon, until one day, researchers found dark type Pokemon! Interested in combining the techniques of Dragon types with the power of Dark type pokemon, Brandon worked at raising a team of Dark Pokemon, lead by his powerful Tyranitar. Even if he wasn’t a dragon type, Brandon knew he could defeat even Lance with his powerful Pokemon. Now Brandon is bringing his team to PAX Unplugged to show that Dark Pokemon can be just as powerful as any Dragon-type!

Trainer’s Eye: I’ll teach you how to play, but can you defeat the dragon?!

Sp3ctre, the Ghostly Shadow!

Trainer’s Eye: Sp3ctre’s family originates in Acumula town. He was always a loner, and loved exploring old cemeteries. One day he stumbled upon a ghastly, and befriended it. Years later, his parents were involved in an unfortunate accident, causing them to perish. Having only his partner pokemon, now a Gengar, Sp3ctre moved to lavender town to live in solitary. Everyday he would visit the tower and pay his respects to fallen pokemon, while also meeting mediators to speak with his long gone parents. One day while at the top of a tower a loud boom was heard, and a portal to what seemed like another dimension appeared. Two gleaming eyes burned brightly from within, Sp3ctre’s heart filled with dread, yet excitement….

PAX Pokemon League Unplugged is back!

That’s right! Shuffle up and ready your decks, the PAX Pokemon League is returning to Philadelphia December 6th-8th at PAX Unplugged! Join us in the Diversity Lounge, located inside the Pennsylvania Convention Center. We’ve updated the rules here. So what’s the format this year? Back by popular demand: it’s Expanded! Keep your eyes peeled, Gym Leader reveals start in a few weeks. See you there!

Swishing through the darkness, Cat and her caped Pokémon lurk in the shadows, waiting for the right moment to strike. A swift attack, a silent infiltration, a sudden disappearance into the shadows with just the flicker of a shrouded figure fading into the darkness.

Is this your first time versing the Pax Pokémon League? Or are you a veteran league challenger?

Make sure you ask the first leader you battle for a handy-dandy Trainer Card! This card contains everything you need to know about the PAX Pokémon League and how you can become the Champion! Each card contains a list of all the leaders, meet-up times, our social media and a brief summary of the rules.

Leader meet-ups will be at 1pm on Friday, 2pm on Saturday and 3pm on Sunday in the Handheld Lounge (opposite the Main Theatre!), but outside of these times, you’re most likely to find leaders there.

Professor Switch, the Zen Warrior

Our intrepid hero Switch finally made it home to Kanto. However when he returned, he discovered that in his absence, the Indigo league replaced him with a new leader of his old gym. Without purpose, Switch sought counsel with a great sage atop Mt Silver.
Now with renewed purpose, Professor Switch began his trek home……. alas his poor sense of direction meant he once more washed up on Australia’s shoreline.
Tropical weather good or bad, the experiences we go through in life should be embraced.
