PPL 2013

Few have heard of, and even fewer have seen, the rumored race of giant folk that inhabit Hyperia, one of the mountainous islands north of Sinnoh. However, with the announcement of the Pokemon World Championship, the Hyperians have seized their chance to step onto the world stage. Atlas may not be the largest of his tribe, but he is a fierce combatant, and a strong representative of his people. The pride of Hyperia, Atlas shrugs off the competition with his team of massive Pokemon!

Hello water loving friends! Atlas’s strength is…well, his strength. His weakness? Tautologies. But remember, these giant Pokemon aren’t too quick on their feet, so make sure to use your speed to your advantage. If you can do that, you’ll find your self carrying the weight of the Titan badge on your shoulders.

Well, he’s joining anyways.  After Team Rockets dissolution Petrel wanted a fresh start, a new life. Being the jokester he is Petrel wanted to show the Pokemon league you can be competitive and still have fun as well! So he packed his bags, and blasted off to the PWT to spread his reach to the stars above!

Whats up trainer to be! This guy might have a few screws loose, but I would stay on your toes!  It’s said when he wins the challengers are more confused than angry! He uses whatever Pokemon catch his fancy, and primarily tries to throw his opponent off guard. His tactics may leaving you Weezing with laughter, But if you keep focused, you can earn yourself the Koffing Badge

After her triumphant debut at PPL East, Beatrice is returning to compete in the Pokemon World Tournament!

Raised among the blooming fields of Floaroma town. Beatrice loves all plants, though she is especially drawn to poisonous varieties. Beatrice is interested in finding ways to use poisons to make useful things, like medicines. When she was ready for her Pokemon journey, she traveled all over the world to gather up exotic, poisonous grass type Pokemon to aid her in her studies. Eventually she opened a studio doubling as her gym, where trainers are invited to learn all about these misunderstood plants.

Hey kid, *phew* I’m getting thirsty just looking at her. Beatrice likes to use Poison and Grass types to plant the seeds of victory. So fire is good bet to weed the garden, and an early frost can be just as effective. So if you think you’re dandelion is up to fluff, challenge her for the Nightshade Badge! Just watch out that you don’t find yourself brokenhearted. Digitalis will do that to you.

Fresh from two victories in the UAA (United Awesome Actionstars), Travis decided he needed something else to excel at, and has whipped up a kickin’ team for the PAX pokemon league!

Pst. Hey kid. Wanna buy some water? Top shelf stuff here. huh? Oh, pokemon battles! right, well, This guy may have left his throne to come play Pokemon, but I can assure you he hasn’t crowned himself on our battlefield yet! Although his team doesn’t have a clearcut weakness I can assure you that you’ll find a way! Just like fighting a swordsman, you’ve got to ride out his fever pitch and wait for the right chance to strike! If you can do that, you’ll get yourself the Crownless badge!

Our next leader, hailing from The South, is Thane Vector, Rock God extraordinaire! Often confused for a member of the Protomen.

After several PAX appearances, Thane has become a sort of mainstay. Like other common PAX performers, it’s getting hard to imagine a PAX without him. Some people want him to stay forever, while others think it’s time to shuffle new performers in. Thane considers PAX a second home; a welcome respite during his long concert tours.

Pst, Hydration specialist here: Thane rocks an electric guitar, and pokemon! Ground-type attacks are an Electric Pokemon’s only weakness, but Thane knows that, too! Some of his Pokemon are bound to be Flying or have Levitate, so be prepared to duke it out. Bring Pokemon types that can withstand Electric-type attacks, like Grass and Dragon and you’ll be sure to earn the Warrior badge!

As our first announced leader we are proud to present Berri, the Traveling Ranger!

Harkening back to the Rangers she learned from after saving her shiny swablu from poachers near Sootopolis, Berri has travelled to Prime’s PWT to represent the Rangers of Hoenn.

Your friendly neighborhood water vendor here: I’ve heard that Berri’s still a little green, not to mean that she’s gonna be a pushover! But that her pokemon take after her love of nature. Bring yourself a campfire to stay warm, and I’m sure you’ll be fine. And if you can defeat her, you’ll earn the Primal badge!
