Anthony, the Extremely Normal Guy!

I journeyed to Boston from Paldea to prove that even the most common and average Pokémon can compete with the most ferocious and deadly ones! Director Clavell invited me to share my knowledge about Normal-type Pokémon with the Trainers of the PAX Pokémon League. The Terastal phenomenon has brought my Pokémon to new heights.

Xero is a Sinnoh native who, with his Lucario by his side, has mastered the art of Steel nerves and an Iron will. He presses on through all challenges with an iron clad determination.

Melt Xero’s Steel will to earn the Iron Fist Badge!

Kai, the Frozen River!

Kai grew up in the cold mountains and has always been fascinated by the flow of the river. Dedicating his life to making ice mimic the speed of the river, he perfected the art throughout the years, combining ice and water to create the frozen river.

You may need to melt or break the ice to defeat the frozen river and claim the Flowing Crystal Badge!

Owner of Bonnie’s Seafood Grotto, Bonnie’s in the kitchen mixing up their next best dish! Battles are on the menu and they love to cook up thrilling strategies! Will they serve up a dish that tastes like victory or will it burn in the oven?

If you can complete this three course battle, you’ll earn your ‘just desserts’, the Buffet Badge!

Damocles, the Fearsome Knight!

Hailing from the distant feudal kingdoms to the south, the feared knight Damocles has traveled far to be a member of the PAX Pokémon League. Damocles and his Pokémon have resolve of steel and the bravery to stand in the face of any threat.

If you can prove your prowess and honor in battle, you will receive the Sigil Badge!

A tragic accident – a crack of thunder in the Red Line tunnel – what emerged was Charlie, the Third Rail! That fateful day, he became a supercharged MBTA line worker who harnesses the power of rail and electricity. He’ll teach you not to take the electric type lightly.

Charlie loves electric types. Send his power to GROUND and you’ll be cruising along with the Teravolt Badge!

Shackleford, the X-Termin8tor!

Tired of his humdrum, everyday life as an exterminator, Shackleford packed up and moved to Paldea. He now raids and pillages the region looking for excitement and causing chaos, catching and training Poison-type Pokémon that will help him on his unending quest to poison, purge, and purify!

Only those truly down-to-earth and grounded in strong mind and psyche can survive the night and earn the Purge Badge!

East 2023 Applications

Applications to be a PAX Pokemon League gym leader for PAX East 2023 are now open! They will be open until end of day on December 16th EST so make sure to get yours done on time.

We are looking for players of all experience levels to represent us and battle challengers to provide the gym leader experience from the games over the course of PAX East weekend. Whether it’s your first time playing through a Pokemon game, you’re a seasoned veteran of 20+ years or anywhere in between, we would love to have you join us!
