Iris, the Gallant Gardener!

Difficulty: Casual, Veteran

Iris loves all flowers, whether bright and sunny like a marigold or dark and moody like a nightshade. Because of this, she has a slight obsession with flower Pokémon of all kinds. And now, she’s here at PAX East 2026 to show her flower babies to everyone she can! Just, don’t mind the pollen.

Uproot Iris’s flowers in order to win the Bloom Badge!

Shakkassu, the Buzzing Pillar!

Battle Style: Singles, Doubles

Difficulty: Casual, Intermediate, Veteran

Shakkassu is strong and wise, but at times can recklessly act before thinking, often leaping into action. In his spare time, he’s typically carefree and relaxed. This extends to the point where he has a habit of sleeping and forgetting things.

Squish, blow away, or even fry Shakkassu’s Bug types to earn the Carapace Badge!

Weal and Woe, the Auspicious Augurs!

Battle Style: Multi

Difficulty: Casual, Veteran

Weal and Woe are travelling fortune tellers who have been partners for many years. Their unique attributes have drawn certain tidings to each of them, with good omens often following Weal, and bad omens often following Woe. To understand each other and their omens better, their partner Pokémon temper theses qualities, with Woe’s Ampharos providing him a beacon of light to cut through the dark, and Weal’s Gengar giving him a deeper understanding of shadow. Together, they’ve come to the PPL to see what the future holds for its challengers… whether it’s what they hope to see or not.

Inari, the Silent Ghost!

Battle Style: Singles

Difficulty: Elite

Ecruteak City is renowned for its old-fashioned charm, and none so infamous as the many folk tales surrounding the Burned Tower. Legends say, if you leave offerings to the lost Pokémon, you may be blessed by the mysterious spirit Inari. Be careful though, as offense may be met with a curse, and you will spirited away by the Fox.

Find your way through the fog and fight spirit for spirit to earn the Silent Emblem!

Have you ever met that New Englander who seems unbothered by the change in the weather? The one carrying an ice coffee even when it is snowing around them? Well now you have! Nagi is comfortable wearing a beanie and hoodie in just about any weather, carrying an ice cold drink!

Be ready to brave any type of storm to win the New England Badge!

Ref, the Fair Play Enthusiast!

Difficulty: Other

Ref has been a Pokémon league referee for a long time and he is fed up with these one sided battles. Gym challengers stacking their teams with type advantages, and gym leaders creating ridiculous gimmicks to try and counter. No more. Ref is taking matters into his own hands and letting challengers battle him using his perfectly fair Pokémon.
