Lyra, the Monster Rider
While on an unexciting gathering mission with her trustie team of Monsties, Lyra came across a strange ring in the forest. It was gold-rimmed and floating, with what looked to be some sort of a hyperspace black hole in the middle of it. She felt adventurous and stuck her hand in it out of curiosity– and immediately got sucked in. The next thing she knew, she was in the middle of an expansive field, surrounded by strange beings! After a bit of wandering and getting weird looks from passerby’s, she found what seemed to be a bustling city. It was called Motostoke and after talking to the locals, she discovered she was transported to the world of Pokemon, to the Galar region. With no way to return to her world, she became saddened by the loss of her partners and started on the path of being a Pokemon trainer, caring for the creatures as if they were her own Monsties from back home.

Lionheart is often considered one of the greatest Magi to ever travel the realm of Vellara, rising through the ranks quickly and protecting the lands from dark and villainous Magi and dangerous creatures of all shapes and sizes using his powerful magic. One day, after fending off an attack from the Silver Dragon, Lionheart found himself being sucked through the very portal he was trying to keep the beast from accessing, ending up in another world where he discovered creatures called Pokemon that possessed abilities similar to the magic he wielded. Curious about this new realm and the challenges it presented, Lionheart gathered Pokemon that represented the various clans of his homeland to guide him in his journey to return home.

Mr Pizza, the PokéChef
Mr Pizza started out his career as a chef at the Battle Café in Hammerlocke City where his favourite meal to cook was a cheesey Rowlet-shaped pizza. Watching the other staff battle the customers he quickly started preparing a Pokémon team of his own to join in. After getting the taste of battle he left the café, hungry for a new challenge. He became a challenger for the Champions Cup and although his desire for victory didn’t pan out, he remains true to his goals, to serve defeat to those who all who challenge him!
