Leader: Spirit, the Tamer of Ancient Beasts!

spirit-artFrom the moment he received his first pokemon, a newly hatched Dratini, Spirit knew he loved two things: battling and dragons. Upon reaching the age of ten, he began his pokemon journey, his Dragonair helping him battle his way through the Hoenn gyms with ease. However, Spirit’s overconfidence got the better of him, and he lost at his first stop at the Battle Pyramid. Interested the boy’s potential, Pyramid King Brandon took Spirit under his wing, and trained him in the arts of pokemon battling. Under Brandon’s tutelage, he trained and studied in Hoenn’s many timeworn ruins, becoming fascinated by the legends of ancient beings and the power they represented. He now works with his dragons towards uncovering the secrets hidden within the world of pokemon to further improve his battle skills. Delve with him into the mysteries of pokemon to earn the Ancient Badge!

Leader: Fangurley, the Queen Bee!

fangurley-artFangurley hadn’t always seen the power in bug pokemon; once she even thought they were the weakest type of all. One day, she decided to tryout the bug catching contest at the National Park and caught a Weedle. She didn’t win, but she couldn’t simply abandon Weedle, and decided to train it. Weedle very quickly evolved to Beedrill, and Fangurley saw the real power potential of bug type pokemon. Eventually building a team of all bug-types, she become known far and wide for her skill with these often undervalued pokemon. Recently, the PPL invited the Queen Bee to be a gym leader for PAX South. Show the value of your pokemon partners to earn the Honeycomb Badge!

Leader: Allie, the Toxic Scientist!

allie-art
A Kanto native, Allie has been fascinated by poison-types since she was old enough to become a trainer. As she got older, she entered the field of science, studying the properties, effects, and uses of different pokemon-produced toxins. This odd, and possibly mind-altering, fascination has left her lab in a constant mess of sickening sludge, poisonous powders, and (semi) fatal fumes. Convinced to take a research trip so her colleagues could clean her lab out, Allie has traveled to PAX South in hopes of testing the tolerance levels of trained pokemon against her poisonous team. Challengers need to be skilled in poison control and disposal in order to claim the Venom Badge!
