This year we are introducing a new automated queue system and digital trainer card. You will still receive the physical badges from leaders that you defeat, but now the digital trainer card will also track your progress. Follow the steps below to register at any time from now until you challenge your first leader and let us know if you have any questions.

Hello everyone! We’re excited to be back in person again at PAX East this year! We’re now less than 3 weeks away from the convention and we have some exciting stuff going on this year that we wanted to share with you all.
We are adjusting our usual prize structure this year. Instead of doing raffles we will instead be giving out prizes for earning a certain number of badges. Below is what you can win.
This year PAX is introducing their Community Room, a place for the various communities that attend PAX to meet and hang out. We will be in the Community Room for a few hours each day.
Thursday April 21st: 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Friday April 22nd: 12:oo pm – 2:30 pm
Saturday April 23rd: 12:oo pm – 2:30 pm
Sunday April 24th: 12: pm – 2:30 pm
These times will be when we have our usual meetups and you will be sure to find a lot of leaders accepting challengers. We will also be playing some Pokemon themed Jackbox games that you can join while waiting in leader queues. We will even be showing off some champion battles as they happen so you can watch and cheer on fellow challengers! When we are not in the Community Room we will be hanging out in the Handheld Lounge.
The Community Room is located on the first floor on the hallway to the left when entering the convention center through the main entrance. It is right next to where the Diversity Lounge has been in the past where we used to have a booth. The Handheld Lounge is located on that same hallway, all the way down at the end where it always is.

A lot of preparation goes into getting the PPL ready every PAX. Most of the work goes on behind the scenes and people are not often recognized for everything they do to make the PPL a fun and unique experience. We would like to acknowledge a few of these people that helped us with PAX East this year.
A veteran of the PPL for both East and West, Ruppy has stepped forward to volunteer to help create badge art for gym leaders who need it. A large number of the badges you win at PAX East are designed by him
Another veteran of the PPL at PAX East, Morganstern has been designing badges for gym leaders at all PAXes for many years. If you have been challenging us for a long time, chances are most of the badges you have were designed by him.
The leader art that we use for leader reveals and on our Trainer Cards is a long standing tradition in the PPL. This year Rhonder, a gym leader from PAX West, designed all of the leader art for us. With the number of leaders we have at PAX East it was a large commission that we needed in a pretty short period of time and he did an amazing job. Strategy: The wild west is very scrappy, try blasting straight through.
Favorite Pokemon: Horses and critters from the West
Trainer Message: Howdy! Can you take on the toughest in the west? Load your 6 shots and Draw!
Out Gun the cowboy to earn the Western Emblem.
Strategy: Don’t pity the small, for they shall hex your Pokemon and steal victory.
Trainer’s Pokemon: They live to haunt!
Trainer’s Message: I hear them and they’re roaring for a battle! But beware, my spooky Pokemon are scary, trainer!
Those who overcome my curses shall mysteriously earn the Grave Emblem.
Hello PAX Pokemon League East 2020 challengers!
We are looking forward to having many Pokemon battles this weekend. Leaders can be found throughout the convention center all weekend, but if you’re having trouble finding someone with a green scarf check out the Handheld Lounge. It’s found on Level 1, same floor as the main entrance.
We also have a booth in the Diversity Lounge once again! Stop by to learn more about us, draw a Pokemon, or even find a gym leader or two to challenge. Make sure to check out the other booths while you’re there!
