Colt became absolutely fascinated with the teachings of ancient civilizations in particular. He spent most of his thesis-study traveling to and from different regions in search of their long lost secrets. In the midst of his travels through Alola during the Ultra Beast crisis, he happened upon a rogue Type: Null. The Pokémon became pivotal in his research, especially due to its connection to the mysterious Arceus. This started his look into Normal types, using their diverse capabilities to push his research further. With these Pokémon in hand, he seeks to learn from places, people and Pokémon trainers alike.
