That mysterious figure Morganstern is back with more! Do you have questions about the PAX Pokemon League? Well, have we got just the thing for you…
PAX Pokemon League Do’s and Don’ts:
DO challenge every leader in a green scarf you see to a Pokemon battle.
Leaders can be easily identified by their florescent green scarves, visible clear across the expo hall.
DON’T challenge every tiger in a green scarf you see to a Pokemon battle.
Don’t stand around wondering where he got the scarf. That’s when they pounce!
DO wait in line patiently if a leader has a queue.
There are lots of challengers, so you might have to wait to battle the leader you want (especially at meet-ups).
DON’T beat the person in line ahead of you with a pool cue to take their spot.
A leader will likely refuse your challenge if you approach them in a seething rage holding a broken blunt instrument.
DO try to collect all the Gym Leaders’s badges.
They are both shiny and cool, not to mention proof of your ascent to Pokemon Mastery!
DON’T try and collect all the Gym Leaders’s wallets.
They have all our money in them, and we like to buy things like food and tickets home.
DO check with other challengers to see if you have the same Match Item.
If you find a challenger with the same item on their Rival Card, find a leader to be declared rivals!
DON’T check with challengers to see if you have the same CIA contact.
Remember, the walls have ears and the eagle flies at midnight.
DO swing by the Handheld Lounge on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
The Handheld Lounge is a great place to find leaders throughout PAX!
DON’T swing by the Handheld Lounge on Monday.
Not only will that Handheld Lounge no longer be there, but the security guards will look at you funny.
DO go to the Champion’s Showcase to battle any leaders you may have missed.
The Champion’s Showcase takes place right after PAX in the lobby of the Weston (The hotel attached to the BCC).
DON’T go to our places of work to challenge any leaders you may have missed.
While we admire and are creeped out by your dedication, not many of us bring our DSs to work.
DO challenge the league with your favorite Pokemon, regardless of skill level.
There are plenty of leaders waiting to challenge trainers of all levels!
DON’T challenge the league with your favorite real animals, regardless of legality.
We’re a big fan of poisonous serpents and giant gorillas too, but we didn’t pack enough anti-venom and bone splints for everyone.
DO come to PAX dressed as your favorite Pokemon trainer.
Whether it’s one from the game, the show, or someone you made up on your own!
DON’T come to PAX dressed as your favorite 1890s robber baron.
Very few people will know who you are, and everyone else will think you’re the guy from Monopoly.
Thank you Morganstern. That was very… erm… informative? Be on the lookout for more of Morganstern’s Do’s and Don’ts in the future!
