While playing in the fields below Mt. Chimney, Berri met her first poachers. A shiny Swablu barely escaped the poachers, and injured its wing in the process. That Swablu has since grown under Berri’s care, inspiring in the young girl a need to protect nature and the peaceful Pokemon that live there. Berri traveled the regions, learning from many trainers who shared her calling, and adopted the title ‘Ranger’. She has since settled down to her own gym, teaching all those who pass through its doors that Pokemon and nature are meant to be respected.
