What does everyone think about the new update on Poke GO?

The old saying about polishing a turd comes to mind. The improved refresh rate may be a nice thing for city folk, but where I live there's rarely more than 2 Pokemon in my nearby/sightings. Until I have some method (in game or out) of determining whether I'm at least moving in the right direction, I can't play without having to drive somewhere specifically to get more spawns around me. And even then there's still no method of tracking down specific Pokemon in relation to you other than traversing the entirety of the range around them and trying to find the 'center.' And even then there's no way of knowing whether it dropped off your sightings because you hit the edge of its range or it just despawned.

Yeah...I'm a little salty about the current game state...
