5 - Feraligatr, first starter, nostalgia, etc.
4 - Ninetales, DESIGN. Drought ability, design again.
3 - Vaporeon, favorite eeveelution, adorable design.
2 - Krookodile, Design, Moxie, nice movepool, rocks in competitive, underrated.
1 - Mega Absol, AMAZING design, Magic Bounce, kicks butt in battle.

5. Snorlax - Always loved it. Was on the first team I ever tried to make back in Gen 2, nicknamed Laximus.
4. Scizor - Like Snorlax, it was on the first team I tried. I currently use a shiny one frequently in my Emerald Knight teams.
3. Dragonite - Wow, another of my original ones... but so much more efficient now. Another of my current Emerald Knights.
2. Wobbuffet - Never really use one any more, but this was the first favorite Pokemon. My cousin noted while watching me play Stadium 2 that whenever it hit the field, it looked like it was saluting and saying "What up?" I was sold on it from then.
1. Espeon - Looking back at this list, the previous 4 were on that original Gen 2 team. Espeon wasn't. I had preferred Umbreon back then, most since I already had a Psychic Pokemon with Wobbuffet. Now, it's the cornerstone of my Emerald Knight Triple battle teams. Nothing brings me more joy than playing on the Battle Spot and watching it bounce Dark Void back at all 3 opposing Pokemon. Usually followed shortly after with with a forfeit. It's a beautiful thing.

I think about things like this often enough, shouldn't be difficult.

1. Gardevoir: love the whole evo tree tbh, an old favorite when I first started thinking about Pokemon I liked back in gen 3.
2. Arbok: The partner Pokemon of my poison team, in my dp...yeah, just an old gen one fave (shiny sprite helps too!)
3. Tyranitar: I love being unique and when designing my personal team of favorites I wanted a powerhouse. He's awesome without being your typical dragon pseudo, so he fit well.
4. Sawsbuck: the reason I'm building a grass team this year. The deer is my spirit animal, when sawsbuck came out using it felt right.
5. Goodra: What's not to love? Big gooey dragon, adorable and decent to use.
