A surprise trick for bug trainers?

So, I've been mulling ideas about black and white tricks and I realized something potentially pretty amazing.

Eviolite.

Great item for the playthrough, boosts a Pokemon's defense and sp. Def by 50% so long as that Pokemon is not fully evolved. Initially you might think, hey, okay, maybe makes some middle forms a bit viable. But what about poke who are already viable, but not fully evolved.

I immediately thought of Scyther.

For those who do not know, Scyther's stat total does not change at all when he evolves into Scizor, only his stat distribution does. But he still has the fairly impressive total of 500 in both forms.

Except Scyther isn't fully evolved. As fars as I know, he's a viable candidate for the Eviolite. Super Scyther, anyone?

Does this work? Are there other Pokemon out there who don't actually raise their stats when they evolve? What's the word?

Yes, it works. I don't know about the stats question, but I know I've seen mentions of Chansey having higher defenses than Blissey with it and Munchlax being able to take hits like a Snorlax with it (really nice in Little Cup, I gather).

Porygon2 is definitely better than Porygon-Z in the defensive spectrum once you put Eviolite on it. You sacrifice sweeping capabilities for a great overall wall. With access to Recover and other support moves? Expect that Porygon2 to take hits like a champ.

While evolite is Viable on Scyther, he is still outclassed by Scizor for on dominant reason: STAB Priority.

And beyond that, Scythers defensive prowess with evolite still isn't quite up to snuff because of the weakness. x4 Rock, x2 Elec/Fire, and those are just the common ones. :/

Chanc, Pory-2 and Dusclops are truly beasts with evolite however.

The trick is GETTING the DW ability pokemon. They have DW abilities for nearly every pokemon, but only some can be found on the DW last I checked.

And on topic, Eviolite is a fantastic looking item. I've seen a bunch of things on it, and it all looks great. 50% boost? yus please

Ummm....Most of the pokemon that have a DW power worth getting are available already.

Speed Boost Blaziken, Posion heal Glicsor, etc.. A lot more have been released that people think.
