Boston/New England Area Meet-Up

Just checked on the AB forums. They have a Pokémon photo shoot scheduled for the friday at 11am on the 3rd floor.

But yeah, a meet-up before AB would be cool. The bandstand on the Common is a good place to initially meet. Can always move if we need to.

Well, since we seem to have at least some measure of interest in this, how about we try and put a plan together? Keeping in mind that Anime Boston is in 4 weeks and there's a decent amount of you going to that, how would the weekend after next sound to people? Saturday April 2nd? I would suggest Saturday to have a better range of time to either meet or hang for anyone who may need to get up early Monday morning. Thoughts on the date?

As far as venue goes, I agree with the sentiment that outdoors would be nice, but we need to remember that this is New England and if it isn't July, it could snow. I'll leave suggestions for now for those of you who rely on the train for transportation as you all know accessibility better than I would. All I'll say is that if we go with an outdoor location, we should have a close by indoor alternative.

Saturday April 2nd sounds good.
Noon would be good. Gives those of us coming in by train time so we don't need to rush.

I'd second the commons since The Hynes that is connected to the mall isn't that far away. If the weather sucks we could always scurry off there. Plus cheap foodcourt food is good in my book.

It's right near the Boylston Green line stop and the Lowes Cinema.

There's a McDs, Dunkies, and Starbucks right nearby.
The Corner Mall food court is only a few blocks away. as is the one in the Transportation building.

Amtrak has trains for me that get me into South Station at either 11:15 or 1:15. I'd lean towards Noon as well. There is also a MBTA that would get me into South Station around 12:30.

Boston Common (Parkman Bandstand as the meet-up point?)

How does that sound to everyone? A little trading, a little battling, a little Entralinking, maybe grab a bite to eat at a nearby establishment, whatever else our little hearts desire.

One other thing, and this doesn't really matter to me because I don't drink, but is anyone who would like to come under 21? Midday, I don't think will present itself as too much of an issue, but it bears minding for choice of any indoor establishment to go to.
