Yeah where is that info coming from? That would be a serious scoop if it were true....

The info is over on Serebii, unless I am reading that head line wrong, it says that all three are pure types.

Given the wording of the post, I think that they just announced the types of the starters' first forms, not the final forms. Considering we still have nine months until it launches, I'd think they'd hold as much info back so as to tease us more effectively the closer we get to launch. Especially because it's going to be a simultaneous worldwide launch and there won't be spoilers from any time delay.

But that is how I read it anyways. As always, time will be the best indicator of how everything will pan out; though speculation can be a great way to pass the time ;)

Never mind the typing; I'm really interested to see what the final evolutions of the starters look like, as that's clearly the main factor in choosing. Like sure, the fire fox looks cute now, but so did Tepig, and look what he grew into...Bleah!

I've never followed the release of a pokemon game before; I suppose they slowly leak the new pokedex entries?

Junichi Masuda posted a blog entry in English about the upcoming games. Here's a link for those interested: http://www.gamefreak.co.jp/blog/dir_english/?p=561

This part stood out to me: "A new battle mechanism that allows your Pokémon to become even more powerful when the bonds you share grow stronger." Sounds like friendship rating will play more of a role in battles maybe.

Something that would be really nice (and now possible since the graphics aren't sprite based) would be trainer customization options. I'm kinda getting sick of playing as a 10 year old, especially one that looks like everyone else's 10 year old.
