I have been talking a lot with fellow PPLers about my original 2-team idea against the 5-team idea that has been discussed. So, I want to put my thoughts onto the board in order to discuss the two different sides. I really love the idea of having all the evil teams represented at PAX, however, it would be much more beneficial to us as a group to start smaller by focusing on two teams:
It is exciting and fun to have all of these different teams represented and running around, but it will really underwhelm our representation at PAX if our identities are spread out between five different teams. It will be a huge organizational problem trying to put this together around five different teams as opposed to focusing on the two that thematically and socially complement themselves the best to being a huge rivalry, we would need a lot more than fifteen leaders to legitimize it. In a lot of ways it is much clunkier than focusing on two teams and would really inhibit the flow of PPL's role within PAX. I think there are a lot of ways we could make the free-for-all work even better next year as an extension to the plot of N and Plasma's challenge to Giovanni and the Rocket empire, but the two-team focus and clarity of Rocket vs. Plasma will be easier to organize, easier to implement, easier to advertise, and will provide us with much greater gains than going right into a five-team brawl will give us. It would also give us a great plot to work towards for next year. Building up will allow for MUCH more epicness then throwing everything at the wall at once.
Thanks, everyone.
