Greetings Prospective Leaders!
We have just now opened up the application process for becoming a Leader at PAX Prime 2012. If you are interested, here is what you do:
[b38t]0)[/b38t] Buy your PAX Tickets
[b38t]1)[/b38t] Take a deep breath, and set asside about 5-15 minutes for filling out the application.
[b38t]2)[/b38t] Copy the following application and start a new thread in the "Leader applications" forum found under the "PAX Prime 2012" section.
[b38t]3)[/b38t] Paste the application into the newly made thread, and fill out each line (remove any bits that are in parenthesis, they are just clarifications of the question)
[b38t]4)[/b38t] Look over the application to make sure everything is correct.
[b38t]5)[/b38t] Hit submit and sit back and wait for an e-mail or forum reply. To make that easier, make sure to check the "notify me when a reply is posted" box to the bottom of your thread. This will automagically e-mail you when we reply to your applications with questions of clarification, or any updates as to the application process and where you stand in it.
Just so everyone is aware of the timeline we're looking at for applications, we're hoping to bring in a total of about 25 or so leaders this year for PAX Prime, and we'll be accepting them in 2 waves. The first wave will be about 10 leaders and will be brought in within 2 weeks time. The second wave will be all the rest of the leaders that we need to fill out our team, and that will happen about 4-5 weeks from time of posting.
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND: being a gym leader does have some finacial obligations. We expect you to be able to purchase your own travel accomodations for PAX, as well as your PAX Pass. We also expect you to be able to buy 100 custom printed buttons (about $20) and chip in for materials needed to make your Leader Identification Scarf (about $3-$5). There may be some other costs allong the way for super secret projects, but we will do our best to notify you of them, and not have them cost a lot. We like doing things cheaply, and well.
Well, without further ado, here is the application form:
