Unlocking Reshiram/Zekrom C-Gear skin in opposite game?

Does anyone know if its possible to unlock the Reshiram C-Gear Skin in Black/Zekrom C-Gear skin in White by trading the event Reshiram/Zekrom from its partner game? I would like to get both of them and I doubt I'm the only one. Anyone up for testing it out with me? Temporarly trade my event Reshiram for your event Zekrom and see if it works. If so, I'm up for letting anyone with Black borrow my Reshiram so they can unlock its C-Gear skin.
