Shinies?

Anyone here a shiny hunter? Got any good stories about shiny hunting or maybe encountering a shiny in the wild?

It took me weeks of chaining Shinxes in my Diamond game to finally get to chain 40, and when I finally did, I ended up with three shiny Shinxes... and a shiny Bidoof. Somehow!

Apparently the odds of getting a shiny via the Masuda Method has been increased to 1 in ~1300 for Black and White, which is apparently better odds than chaining was, so I'm going to be giving it a shot next. Has anyone had any luck hatching a shiny in B/W?

i actually just caught a shiny Basculin an hour ago haha. Nothing too special about the capture, I had a bunch of level 70s and he was 15. I'm really happy I had so many ultra balls on me

Nice, congrats!!

I've been hatching Vulpixes for the past hour or so, and while this method may be way less exciting than chaining, it does have a few important advantages: 1. you can watch TV while you do it, 2. you can turn off your DS if you need a break, and 3. it is basically impossible to mess up and just requires patience! Also, it will give your Pokemon character huge calf muscles from all the biking >.>;

My first shiny was when D/P were still fairly new. I had gone to that ghost tower where you get the cleanse tag and, not wanting to deal with another golbat, slapped it on my first guy and went to head down into the tower.

And just before I get to the stairs BOOM, encounter. Another golbat! Argh- wait.. Golbats aren't usually green! It took me a second to realize it was a shiny and I caught it. Later I traded it for a ditto and started to breed my starter and got sucked into the world of pokemon blackmarket trading, where I pretty much got most of my legends. xD

My 2nd shiny I found was a Graveler near the Elite 4 pokemon league. I was leveling up pokemon and there it was!

And then it used Self Destruct. :I

OHmygoodness. Anyone have a spare foreign poke for trades?

My own shiny experiences seem to be bug based (caught 2 shiny cascoons, one in ruby, one in sapphire). I've tried chaining with one result...and traded for a shiny furret that's somewhere :3
