Jeez this is tempting. I wonder how many Pokemon are actually going to be included to be drawn, though.

Also what the heck is that Pikachu wearing?!? XD

Idol Pikachu is legit. Top tier. Madam Pikachu is like, upper to mid tier Pikachu. All other Pikachus are unworthy.

OT: Definitely gonna nab me this. Can't see a better way to practice drawing.

I picked up a physical copy at release (EU/AUS) since I figured that it would probably end up being a somewhat rare piece of software (it's a bit of a niche within a niche - even if Pokémon is a huge niche). Yes, I regularly buy games based purely on the idea that they'll be rare in the future.

ANYWAY

I decided I should at least give it a go, and it's actually really nice. (fun?) I find it very relaxing to do a little bit of Pokémon drawing on my way home from work each day, and I can see that my meager art skills have improved since I started playing. Now that I'm trying to play more X/Y and complete some of my backlog, I think I'd actually prefer a digital copy of the software so that I don't have to keep changing cartridges. I guess my other option would be to get a digital version of X - but with ORAS on the horizon, I think I should maybe just deal with the swapping.

I'm completely rambling now, but the point is that Art Academy was actually a lot better than I expected. If you're thinking about it, I'd urge you to take a closer look - if there's a demo, or you know someone with it, and you can get some hands on, definitely give it a try.
