Weird Names on the GTS? *Potential Spoilers*

So, I was prowling the GTS today for differently colored Flabebe's because I want to collect them, but I don't have Fly yet and don't want to run all the way back to the first town. While looking through the list of Lv 11-20 Flabebe, I noticed that some trainers were looking for Pokemon by names that, to the absolute best of my knowledge, do not exist in the Pokedex. One trainer was looking for "Volcanyon", another for "Hoopa", and a third for "Diancie." Has anyone encountered these Pokemon in the games? Do we know anything about them? Is there an option to request a nickname that I just can't find?
Discuss!

I know you can input a name of the pokemon you're looking for (with the purpose of looking for pokemon you've yet to encounter (it's the last option in the list of letters)), but I never bothered to try a fake name with it. Perhaps that's what they're doing?

Entirely possible, but I have now found multiple instances of those three names on the GTS. An elaborate hoax is possible, but they are not centralized in one area. I see them from Japan, the US, and Germany. Not to mention that Game Freak posted on their Japanese twitter something along the lines of "We know some people are disappointed by the number of Pokemon in #X and #Y, but please don't be! We have many more surprises in store for you soon!" Kinda convenient, I feel.

Oh snap. They could easily patch in new Pokemon, couldn't they? Before we always had the event legendaries known way ahead of time because they had to be in the game's files somewhere at launch in order for them to be given out later, but with the 3DS, they could just update the Pokedex in a patch. It'd probably only be legendaries and not, say, an evolutionary line, but still. Neat.
OT: After a google search of Hoopa, I found this:
