A Wild Indie Pokemon Game Appeared!

Well, it did a month ago, but I just happened upon a gameplay video of it on YouTube last night. The name of the game is Pokemon: Generations, it's an action/adventure RPG game that is in 3D and also features real-time battles as opposed to the turn-based battle scheme of the flagship titles. According to the game's IndieDB page, it's going to feature a storyline that takes place between Gen I and Gen II. The control scheme is straightforward: You control the trainer out of battle and actually take control of whatever Pokemon you have out during battle. The fighting itself looks to be conducted along the same vein as MMORPGs, each skill is assigned a shortcut key and you have to manually aim the attacks when you use them. When I am done apartment hunting today I am going to try it out myself, but just the thought of having a functioning 3D Pokemon game that actually has interactive and real-time battles is getting me excited. The only grey area is I don't know if Game Freak and Nintendo will force him to stop like Warner Brothers did with the Middle-Earth Role-Playing Project (an Elder Scrolls LOTR Mod, for the unaware), I'd imagine they will in time, but for now it's nice to just dream.

Also, the game is still in alpha, so if you do try it out, bear in mind it's not going to be perfect or bug/glitch-free (for example, catching Pokemon is guaranteed no matter if they're at full-health or KO'd)
