Yep, Snivy was the only time I've ever wanted a starter other than Fire. Looks like we're back to Fire: the fox is so cute! Although somehow none of them look *special* enough to be starters; they look sort of like pokes you'd just find in low-level grass areas.

Clearly Pokemon X is for girls and Y is for boys...(what questionable naming! I must get Y because it looks redder)

For those interested, Serebii is reporting that the names of the two legendary Pokemon shown in the trailer are Xerneas and Yveltal.

I've got a hunch that Chespin will be full grass, but the other two will be dual types. They already paved the way for a fire / psychic with Victini, so I wouldn't be too surprised if that's what Fennekin ends up.

I actually really think that Fennikin will be fire/ground, because it's based off of a Fennec fox, and those live pretty much in the ground...
