If you're new to the tabletop, [i9ik]definitely[/i9ik] try 4e first. 3.5 is a scary scary place...so many attributes to keep track of

I think my BF and I started in 3E, but that was because 4E hadn't been released yet, or he just hadn't gotten the books for it yet. Either way... I still had a lot of fun, but I'm excited to learn 4E. :3

XD if you started in 3 or 3.5 it should be much simpler, they took all the skills you could learn (upwards of 30 options I believe?) and quashed them down to near a baker's dozen. Play still depends on the DM, but runs rather similarly to earlier incarnations.

OH GOD!!! I KNOW THEM!! my brother dragged me to one of their panels in 2011 and it was funniest DnD campaign I've ever been to!!!!

On another hand I've been playing dnd with my friends since my freshman year in high school and we started out with 3.5 and a group of 5 people. Now we are doing a pokemon tabletop campaign and we are a group of about 10-11 people. It's really fun!!
