I started with Swampert as my mega, using Blastoise for X/Y challengers, but it turns out that Swampert is not great on a mono-water team. Everyone's bringing grass type moves and pretty much any grass move will OHKO Mega-Swampert. So Blastoise took over and did much better. You might notice that Walrein and Ludicolo have practically the same set, that's because Friday night I bred Ludicolo to replace Walrein, since I kept getting destroyed by Mow and Wash Rotoms. Ludicolo did much better. Not sure why I didn't use him to start with.

I will simply say this now: I went into this as a more casual player, so this team will definitely have faults. I would love to redo this team in a few years to see how it changes. I only used Arbok, Venomoth, and Weezing in a couple early battles, before Toxicroak and Haunter moved in permanently. Venusaur, sadly, never saw combat, but he was cheering from the sidelines.

Hey there! I had a blast taking on the Gym leaders, and went 1/2 against the elite 4. I got the water badge and my butt handed to me by the ghost elite 4 member.

I used quite a lot of teams so here was my rotation. This was my first time battling real people (though I've played pokemon since RBY). Had a great time (only attended Friday and Saturday). Garchomp, Lapras, Tyranitar and Aerodactyl were my stars.
