As far as I can tell, the process from 0 to fisticuffs is as follows:
Turn on DS
Wait for Title Screen
Load Game
Go to Wireless Counter
Search For Opponent
Set Rules (?)
Fisticuffs
For the mental health of those so willing to let us beat them silly all weekend, I say we set a few shortcuts to speed the process up a bit and keep any lines that occur as short as possible. Perhaps suggesting that people in line wait at the Wireless counter with their system in sleep mode or the person at bat set up the next game might ease any congestion.
Did any from Prime learn anything that might make things go smoothly?

It's local play, so it's the middle counter I believe. You go in, choose flat battle singles, and wait in that screen until a leader is open.

Oh, ok.
Last time I had a human to throw down with it required a link cable. The process seems to have streamlined since then.

Just if you plan on challenging the League; BEFORE you get to PAX, save right in front of the counter. It'll help a lot

For those who are curious, would any of the Prime League members kindly share their experiences with power consumption? Did you leave your DS on sleep in front of the counter, or turn it on every time? How long did your batteries last?
I believe this might be helpful information for gym leaders AND challengers who plan on battling frequently over the course of the weekend.
Also yes please for our sanity have your team ready before you get there. If you show up at my gym and say you need to withdraw pokemon from a computer I am fully entitled to slap you with a freshly caught trout.

Leaders: For gods sake bring a charger and sit by outlets a lot.
I went through two charges of my DS the first day. As in, my first one ran out of batteries so I used a friends' until his ran out too.

While I was getting my team ready, my DS would go through a instance of ~5 hours being on straight before it would need charging. I'm sure it would be more if you are constantly turning the DS on and off, or doing a lot of battling. So yes, bring your charger. Hopefully people are nice enough to let Leaders snag outlet spots in times of need.
