Double Gym Battles

So, a thought occurred to me earlier. I'm going to be wandering around PAX with a few friends of mine, and pretty much all of us are going to be taking the PPL Challenge. I was wondering how it would be handled if we were to stumble upon two gym leaders in the same vicinity, and challenge them to a double battle.

Would winning mean that both challengers received both badges? If one challenger's pokemon dies while the other's doesn't, does that mean only one challenger gets the badge? Would you guys even accept the double challenge in the first place?

I'm one of the Elite 4, so while I probably wouldn't accept a double battle this year, I love the idea of two gym leaders battling two challengers at once. Most likely that puts the leaders at a pretty big disadvantage, but it still sounds super fun! Based on what I've seen, I'd say someone like our brain-y leader Propriety would readily accept a double battle if the opportunity presented itself.

There are plans for an actual double battle gym in the future, but not at East, unfortunately.

I'm not sure how this would work for random leaders - are double battles still 6 Pokemon each?

I think that yeah, you can still get 6 pokemon per person, or 6 per side.
I've never really gotten to check...
