Hey prospective PAX South Gym Leaders!

Applications are due by [b22p]AUGUST 22nd[/b22p]. So get them in!

Note that we're only going to try to do a PPL at South if we get enough interest... and since this is the first year of PAX South, we're going to be doing a very light PPL. Just gym leaders and badges, nothing fancy, just to get the ball rolling. So keep that in mind! And since there are so few gym leaders, we're really encouraging you to stick to monotype teams.

A couple of quick notes:

Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be out by South. Assuming battle compatibility between ORAS and X/Y, any of those games will be acceptable. If they are not battle compatible, we'll figure it out.

Also, as this is the first year of South PPL, we'd like to keep Gym Leader characters "in-universe" to keep things simple. Please avoid characters from other fandoms/universes. Other than that, and a preference for monotype teams, go nuts! There's no particular theme this year.

Let's give South a great inaugural PPL!

As a heads up, Ghost and Dark a very popular leader types, we already have a few applications for them. If you're sending in an application, or have one in already for those types, you may want to switch it up. We're not going to have almost 30 leaders like Prime and East, so doubling up on types is something we'd like to avoid.

Also, if you're willing to do something other than what you applied for, let us know on your application, and we'll try to work something out.

That said, the response on applications so far has been beyond expectations, keep 'em coming!

Applications are CLOSED, and acceptance e-mails have been sent! If you applied to be a leader, check the e-mail you provided on your application. A big thanks to everyone who applied. Even if you didn't make it, we hope you'll stick around the forums with us on the Hoenn Hype Train (CHOO CHOO) and challenge the League come January. (And apply again for 2016!)
