I can't remember sometimes what someone said 5 minutes ago, you can't possibly expect me to remember what someone suggested several hours ago. :P

And in fairness, you suggested a button, not a badge. :D

I could print the cards. They wouldn't be quite as sturdy as the PAX badges, so you'd have to be a little more careful with them, but a heavier weight cover stock should suffice. Could be something simple with some kind of PPL challenger logo. It identifies challengers to leaders and other challengers and could be another way to advertise the league itself for people who don't about it.

If you're going for identifiable items, why not run off some paper hats for advertising? (going off the huge promotional success plants vs. zombies had this past pax) Paper bracelets, lanyard accessories, and all sound fine, but how to distribute them?

On a more basic level, people in the handheld lounge/halls were all perfectly approachable for playing pokemon. Other than the promotional status it would grab the PPL I don't see much of a need to identify players.

Personally speaking, I'm not a big fan of sporting a paper hat. That's just me though.

As far as distribution goes, it could be as simple as when you challenge your first leader, they give you one. Have them available at meet-ups at whatnot. Not perfect, but doable. I do agree that I don't necessarily see a need to identify players, but the advertising is a good thing.

I think the other challengers were very obvious, even after only a couple badges. Plus we were the ones who kept asking "are you still accepting challengers?"

Actually it was very cool to see challengers start getting 6+ badges.

We actually looked into Stickers at one point!..................

PAX and the convention center fines organizations like 500$ for every sticker they find stuck to something after PAX is over.

So... no stickers. Ever. Never ever ever.

(Like, if you want to make them personally and attach them to yourself, nobody's stopping you, but we can't hand them out or make a bunch with our name on it, lest we get fined into bankruptcy.)

Ouch.

That does make sense. I would hate to see the stickers attached to walls on my house. I do like having stickers though! Maybe I'll just limit them to all over my 3DS.
