What if there were a time limit, say an hour, between gym challenges. That way people wouldn't be hopping from one line to the other and making way for someone else.

Maybe make it a half hour for people with 1 day passes.

Well, right now it's 24 hours for each leader- you can't challenge someone over and over again the same day.

I don't think it would be fair to tell someone they can't challenge a particular Gym Leader because they challenged a different one 10 minutes prior. Some Gym Leaders are elusive and they may bugger off before your time limit is up. In addition, some people have trouble earning badges and if they lose to 3-4 Gym Leaders in a row, having to wait a half hour between each one, they may get fed up and quit.

Plus, who's going to enforce the time limit? Either the Gym Leaders will need to keep an eye on the other Gym Leader's lines to see who's challenging them or it needs to be self-imposed, and we can't really expect either of those.

Agree'd with above post. Too hard to enforce.

Plus, isn't this sort of already in effect? It's not like you go straight from one GL to another, you have to wait in one line, win/lose, go wait in another line. The only place where you can effectively *jump* without a wait is if the E4 is right next to you after winning your 8th+ badge.

I read this topic and thought you were going to talk about a time limit on individual battle length. and I think THAT is a fantastic idea when there is a line. maybe like... whoever is in the lead after 10 minutes.

Yeah, timing matches doesn't work well in pokemon, and having to wait an hour to fight another leader would probably just feel frustrating. Either way, it's nigh impossible to keep track of.
